Sketches and Short Stories

A sketch is a rough or unfinished piece that captures something essential—a fleeting idea, a broad sweep of a subject, or a meticulous study of a single detail. It may be incomplete, but it is never insignificant. Each sketch stands as a fragment of thought, an orphaned insight, waiting to illuminate the times and lives it touches. Usually created with the intent to integrate into some other story.

A sketch is also a beginning… A work in progress. A piece of a puzzle.
