Martin Marprelate
A Johnny Carson Interview
Open Source since 1588

Hello.

No. I mean it. Hello.

You-whoo….

Yes! You!

Look here!

Right here!

You’re looking right at me.

But you don’t see me at all.

This is the words speaking

The very words you are reading –

And they have a voice behind them.

And that is me.

I am not in your time.
I am not in your space.
You are not in mine.

Yet:

Here we are – sharing these words

Just as we have shared so many other words before…

As if we are perched together on a string

Or reclining on a web…

Embodied or not, who can know?

Our rhythms unite to the words.

Stop!

When the words stop.

Go! very fast when the words are rushing along and we think they must be very excited.

Your eyes speed up, as do my fingers.

My dear friend, we meet at the words.

Welcome.

Thank you for being here.
